What is it?

It is an Opencart module that "pulls" in all the data from your Wordpress blog & displays it in the Opencart interface - it brings quick & easily manageable CMS features into Opencart. Look at the features in more detail

This is not just one module - it is 8 modules in one. It allows wordpress information retrieval into your Opencart module blocks, that can then be displayed in any region of your Opencart website.

Wordpress Latest Posts module - allows you to create multiple Opencart blocks to display a list of your latest posts.

Wordpress Category Posts module - allows you to create multiple Opencart blocks to display a list of your posts from any Wordpress category you specify by ID or category name.

Wordpress Category Lists module - allows you to create multiple Opencart blocks to display your blog posts categories in a list including how many posts are contained in those categories.

Wordpress Archives module - allows you to create multiple Opencart blocks displaying your blog post archives

Wordpress Menu module - allows you to create multiple menus in the Wordpress drag & drop menu editor and display it them in an Opencart block. This makes it so easy to make custom menu blocks in Opencart!!

Wordpress Links module - allows you to create multiple blocks of your blog bookmarks/links (eg. blogroll)

Wordpress Calendar module - allows you to create multiple blocks to display your post calendar

Wordpress Search module - allows you to create multiple blocks in Opencart to display your blog search box on your Opencart website.

It is currently available for the latest version of Opencart, however, we will be testing all previous versions to see if there are any issues with compatibility. Feel free to contact us, if you wish to be informed when your version is compatible.

Requirements

- This version is for the latest Opencart 1.5.3.1 (other versions to be added/tested soon)

- Wordpress must be installed in the same hosting account as Opencart.

- Phase 1 will require you to 'match' your wordpress theme to your opencart theme or vice versa. ie. copy header, footer & css files.

- Opencart 1.5.3.1 (other versions to be made available soon)

- It is assumed that you are using Wordpress 2.7.1 or later. No Wordpress deprecated functions are used, however, earlier versions can be made possible, but will need custom coding to comply.

Software License

This license applies for five (5) websites. A website is typically a single installation of Wordpress and Opencart.

You cannot resell or transfer ownership of your license without permission. You can purchase on behalf of a client or you must tell your client that you are the owner of the license & they must pay you to lease the license at your given price or rate. Alreadymade will consider the owner of the license to be the listed owner in our database.

Roadmap

This is just the initial production release. It is a production ready version with the initial features in place for retrieving information directly from Wordpress using it's inbuilt API's. We have a lot of features in concept for the next phase & will be bringing the following features into a production release very soon.

- (Phase 2) Blog posts and pages from Wordpress to be displayed on your Opencart site, rather than linking back to the blog.
- Integrated login & registration

Project Update (December 13, 2011)

Phase 2 is almost complete. Category lists and posts all load within Opencart & this is an option you can choose in the administration. You can still choose to link to your Wordpress blog if you want to.

Known Issues

In order to push this initial release out for functional & production use, validations in the administration pages have not been completed or finalized. For this reason, if you do not fill out certain fields you may see an error message in your site. Read the error message and it should correspond to a field that you have not filled out or left blank.
Required fields and validations will be added to the administration very soon.
